With over 10 divisions of Dahlias the choice of flower shape, size and colour is comprehensive. Each division brings its own unique characteristics which completes any garden style from cottage to contemporary. Our Dahlia collection contains nearly 40 different varieties ranging from pale colours to vibrant colours and to almost black. Dahlias are suitable for garden borders, containers and can be grown for cut flowers.
Dahlia tubers will grow in almost any well drained soil in both sunny and semi shaded aspects. Dahlia tubers can be planted outside from March or April if you are located somewhere colder. They can be planted in a pot in a frost free location from February. In the early stages of growth they do not like too much water. During the summer they should be kept well-watered when the weather is warm. The will survive outside in mild winters but we recommend lifting or bring the pots inside to avoid damage from frost.
