This wonderful and very pretty bean grows to just 60cm and is perfect for the smaller garden or patio. Karmazyn produces a copious amount of short pods, especially given the size of the plant; each of these pods contains on average, four of these unusual pink tasty beans. For the most tender and delightful beans pick when young, which is when their colour is at it’s most vibrant; do not be tempted to over cook, colour retention is best when steamed. With mid-early maturity you should expect to harvest beans from June to August.
Broad beans like fertile, well-drained soil. Dig in well-rotted compost or manure before planting.
Sow 5cm (2in) deep.
