A pointed red cabbage that provides great visual impact when used in salads, coleslaws and other dishes. This multipurpose variety has an excellent flavour.
Cabbages will grow in most fertile soils. Dig in compost or manure the previous autumn, add lime in the winter if the pH of the soil is below 6.8.
Sow in pots or modules, or in a special seedbed, for later transplanting. Start undercover in March.
Sow 2cm (3/4″) deep.
Plant 30-45cm (12-18″) apart.
Space rows 40 – 60cm (16-24″) apart.
